HIGHLIGHTING THE NATURE OF A BRAND
HoneyGreen+, an international supplier of natural honey and sweeteners, needed a distinctive proposal to showcase its forward thinking capacity. Through the design of a cutting-edge packaging system that would help revolutionise its retail strategy, “Innovation by Nature” introduces innovation in the universe of honey, positioning this brand as a pioneer in food research and wellbeing improvement.
➀ REVEALING THE TRUE ESSENCE
HoneyGreen+ needed to feature its true essence as researchers in natural sweeteners while highlighting the value of its brand identity. The design of a series of capsules showing textures, colors and densities within a mobile and flexible system would allow us to talk about the nature of this brand and the connection and different interactions between their customers and the honey.
➁ FROM HONEY TO CAPSULE
Inspired by the aesthetic and futuristic universe of the iconic white corridor of the Discovery 1 starship in Stanley Kubrick’s acclaimed feature film ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’, the design is composed of two methacrylate blocks sealed internally with an O-ring and closed with visible screws that evidences the concept of hermetic seal.
The honey volume of each capsule is at 90% of its capacity, thus generating the concept of vacuum through an internal bubble.
Its movement, derived from the manipulation of the product, expresses the nuances and different properties of each type of honey: density, colour, or transparency.
➂ FROM THE CAPSULE TO SPACE
To promote its use in the world of retail fairs, we designed a series of personalised flightboxes evoking the aesthetics of a backlit technological briefcase enclosing capsules with different types of honey. The movement of these 2-metre-high doors create a light game elevating the design while emphasising the concept of “sending the capsule into space.”
100% reusable, this interchangeable and adaptable modular design offers enough flexibility to adjust the size, shape and configuration of the capsules according to the specific event needs.
The deisgn not only introduces innovation in the world of honey but also promotes a responsible way of managing available resources.
